Author Topic: Gamestop to Steam Gift Card  (Read 3350 times)

(Didn't understand if I should put this here)

So I have a 25 dollar gamestop gift card
and I saw terra tech on steam

Does anyone have any idea on how to redeem a gamestop gift card on steam?

You can't. You have to buy a steam card with that giftcard.

Uhh, are you able to purchase a Steam Card in Gamestop, using your Gamestop Gift Card?

Check the T&C's on the card to see what you can use it on.

Gamestop doesn't even like steam because people can't trade in their steam games to gamestop.

Yet they sell steam cards, steam controllers, and that streaming thing in their stores.

Because that's the only stuff they can make money off from steam and they don't even make a huge profit off it.

This is why they rarely sell PC games because they have no resale value.

i suppose it's pointless asking for a source

Videogames aren't just given to a store to sell and then the developer gets the money later. The store has to pay for these games then resell them for a slightly higher profit.

Gamestop probably makes less than a 15% profit on new games. Used games however they will give you a dollar for like Dark Souls and then resell it for 10+ dollars making a 90% profit.

PC games they make less than a 15% profit off new games and a 0% profit on used sales. It's all common sense.

You can go to walmart (which also does used sales) and notice how there is 100 copies of Call of Duty crammed into the display case and only 5 copies of the PC version of Call of Duty just sitting on the floor.

What does that have to do with sources?

K mart can't even afford to sell games, let alone buy used games. They no longer sell games in their remaining retail locations.

Is asking Tony for sources a new BLF meme or something?
Sure, he's said a lot of things that need sources, but asking someone to cite common knowledge?
