i used to think maplestory was fun.
ha.
what a joke.

that game's a repetitive grind and it's so boring unless you bother to play with friends.

i prefer a role where i can deal damage and lay waste to everything.

stop by the FFXIV thread dude!
yeah bump it i dont want another megathread to die...

I play all rolls, but i main DPS. Depending on the game mechanics i will switch between melee, range, and magic. FFXIV just has me hooked on melee (and because leveling dps is a bitch)

I do prefer healing to tanking, though i can do both pretty effectively.

when me and the clique play terraria, im usually the tank of the group.

like when we fought the more post-hardmode bosses, I wore turtle armor and let the boss follow me while they attacked it. (turtle armor makes enemies target you first BTW)

I like going support usually because I find support fun

healer. it's a multiplayer game

Tank, no one else knows how to raid properly and its pretty loving annoying when half the people in your clan have green/blue gear at lvl 90 onward. Its like no one knows how to farm mystics anymore.

This applies to all mmos btw, not just wow.

To be fair i hate grinding with a passion and its especially true for FFXIV, where you need to grind out Allagan Tomes for top level gear, yet you have a weekly limit.
I know grinding is part of mmos but i just find it tiresome.

DPS/Healer/Tank in that order

The reason I prefer DPS is because they usually have the coolest spells/abilities. They also can be the most fun for making cool combos.

Healer is second because support roles always hold a special place in my heart.

Tank is last, even though I still enjoy it. It's very difficult and whenever the raid goes sour, you're blamed for causing it to go sour. For example, if some goofy damage warrior pulls everything in a raid and you were still at the raid table waiting for everyone to get well fed and boost up. You shouldn't be blamed for the incompetence of the person who prematurely pulled everything. But no, everyone blames you for not taunting because of that moment and letting him die.

For the tank problem, that's how I feel about it above.

However the other issue...

Play in a different clan, if they are too incompetent to actually not be able to farm up for purples/full raid sets, they are not worth your time. I don't see that problem at all in ours and we raid regularly. We do weekly mystic pandaria transmog runs/highmaul 10-man/BRF 10-man every week and we do just fine. We are also starting to do mystics now that we have people to do it.

kinda funny how the votes are distributed in a way a party would go.

I'll happily play DPS and burst mages but I do like being a support

TERA - the GUI is terrible
It's more than functionally and visually terrible. They're also very inefficient. The more buffs/debuffs you have, the more the GUI impacts your performance. The buff/debuff icons have actually lagged people.
Wizards101 - by far the best MMO I have ever played. The entailing story and gameplay mechanics absolutely delight my very soul. Picking from different schools of magic, you can safely explore the world and make lots of friends in a kid-friendly way on this game. While there are some paywalls, playing free is still enjoyable due to the range of activities your character can do in the game. Truly a good one.
The one and only issue I have with this game is the whole "well let's flip a coin to see which team ALWAYS goes first for the entire battle. ok, team A goes first. alright, EVERYONE pick what spell you wanna use, and then team A does their stuff first, every time."
Yeah sure, a team does technically have to go first, but why the hell does the second team choose what they do at the same time the first team does? They are permanently at a disadvantage. First team can always react to what the second team just did. Like putting up fire wards, they can just choose to break them or use another element, or buff up. But the second team has to guess what the first one is going to do every round.
It made PVP unplayable because the team going first would win like 75-90% of the time.
