probs either a DPS or a tank, though usually I prefer DPS based characters.

i sacrifice myself as the human meat shield

I guess it all just depends on the game. In RotMG I play as Trickster or Mystic, but in any other games I usually play as some sort of offense/attacking role.

Healer, my current main in FFXIV is a WHM

tanks are so loving stressful in world of warcramps, you have the one dipstuff hunter in the group with his pet stuck on taunt, which you'll constantly be fighting for the aggro.
this hunter will then say "wtf tank taunt!!" while still being loving blind to his pet.
after that, you'll have the entire group hounding on you for loosing the threat of the boss for one microsecond.
proceed to get kicked out of the raid and guild for being a "bad tank", rinse and repeat.

this is why healers are good stuff, just gotta click a few buttons now and then when someone accidentally steps into the fire.

Phantasy Star Online 2
PSO2, more like DPS2

There's two roles in this game.
DPS (braver, ranger, force in defence missions). And those other classes that do damage but not as much.

Plus if someone gives you attitude you let them die.

On the tank part my issue is when DPS focus on enemies you are not focusing on, so they steal aggro and then bitch at you, or when they split damage instead of one at a time. AoEs are different, but having 2 dps hit 2 different enemies is a pain sometimes.

This is more for early game tank in FFXIV btw.

Playing thief though, I actually had to pull aggro from other party members (not the tank), and didn't drop below 80% HP doing so. Then they were trying to tell me what I was doing wrong.

i play the role where you wipe the raid because you didn't follow a singular mechanic due to pumping out max dps to look good on meters.
i play the role of big richard dps who might follow mechanics if you sweet talk me.

this sounds like vanilla and tbc before the threat overhaul in wrath
it really does sound like that. good times
fun being overgeared and going into a heroic dungeon and only being able to cast incinerate and occasionally use the wand because you would pull aggro otherwise... for much longer then 1 microsecond.
thinking about it i'm glad they overhauled the threat system now.

i played a healer once
its good if you like having constant heart attacks

for some reason i feel like you have PTSD when it comes to summoners.

Nope, besides the 1 time a summoner kept using physick in the 1st guildhest when the party members had like 99% hp and then said i was a stuff healer. Was my fist time healing so it stuck with me.

No, I DPS as an early game WAR or PLD since their aggro generation is so stuff early and people love to take advantage of it by splitting damage then bitching when you cant hold aggro, or they bitch cause you have no mana or tp so you cant do aoe emnity abilities. Anything past level 30 is fine though, its the first few dungeons thats a bitch.

i used to think maplestory was fun.
ha.
what a joke.

that game's a repetitive grind and it's so boring unless you bother to play with friends.
yeah i remember playing maplestory a stuffload as a kid (and somehow having fun) until they introduced a galactic stuffload of random classes each being geometrically more broken than the last (and i grew up probably) at which point i just kinda stopped caring and also playing.  was grindy as stuff and seeing as i didn't really grind a lot but did party quests and forgeted around in general actually leveling my characters took forever (and the problem forgettuples when you add "lose exp on death" into the equation)

though the aran aka wombo combo poleaxe cunt destroyer aka first unusual class introduced will always be the single coolest class in any mmo ever because i haven't seen any other game top that forgeter in a very long time

It's kinda hard for me to classify a specific class, but I guess I like defense/supporting roles the most

is that class similar to FFXIV's dragoon? i've only played a tiny bit of maplestory
