never seen the appeal to it.

only because you were in it
everyone who knows of the blockland forums are accepted into the special olympics.

Womens Volleyball is a personal favorite of mine.

OT: It's fun to watch, water polo is the wtf sport of the entire event. I personally prefer winter Olympics due to my obsession of hockey.

It's a waste of time in my opinion, I find the world cup, the super bowl, champions league and the NBA more intense and motivational than the Olympics
I don't get how that can be true. The major league/cup games of most single-sports associations feature highly-rich, groomed-since-childhood sportspeople, who all come from the richest clubs in the world, and have been paid to train for years.

How can you be motivated or relate to that? They may be fine sportspeople, but they were handed almost everything on a plate.

Whereas your Olympians from most countries, they've been underdogs, or even are underdogs as they compete. They may have been training since childhood, but often in their own time, or with small clubs and things, rather than by multi-millionaire international corporations.
Or, you get the Olympians who haven't been competing for long, but they pull through.

And you get Olympians from countries who don't have the means to train to compete with those from the bigger countries, but they just get on and try.

So much of it is more inspiring and motivating than watching some millionaire who spends more money on his hair than I see in a year, run up and down a field.

I enjoy the Olympics quite a lot.
I don't follow most of the sports, or the sportspeople outside of the Olympics, but I'll watch near on anything during it.
And there's always a great pride you feel when one of your countrymen succeeds.

Yeah they're p. fun to watch

My grandad died in the Holocaust when some idiot fell off the guard tower and fell on him
My granddad died in the holocaust after he got exhausted from dragging two dead to the incinerator

My granddad died in the holocaust after he got exhausted from dragging two dead to the incinerator
My granddad died dragging 3 dead bodies to the incinerator, but the incinerator designs at the time were faulty and he also fell in it. Ending his life and making him a forgotten legend.

Winter Olympics - skating, snowboarding, and bobsled. Just a few of my faves.

Also, McKayla Maroney is a total babe.
