i watched it and i played this game, i don't know about you but i sure felt like this entire thing was just catering to furries and tumblr
ive done a pacifist playthrough and all it did was make me bored
Congratulations? Nobody's said "Oh it's 99999/10 literally impossible to not like." Even if it was objectively the best game ever, that doesn't mean you have to like it.

now go and read what I was responding to

Undertale? More like,
Underfail!!!11!!

undertale is outstanding where it's strongest, but obviously it won't appeal to everyone. it's definitely a game that appeals more so to the "explorer" type of people. i think it deceptively appeals to more people when you look at it on the surface level. the bullet hell mechanic in particular probably seems appealing to some people but i think they end up disappointed because it really isn't that challenging, or even important. i've seen a lot of these people actually refer to this part of the game as "the gameplay," which is a pretty strong indication of what they were looking for. but its strongest support really comes from the people that actually enjoy the way it handles its narrative. that's where it's unique and where it really shines, and if that's lost on you, you probably aren't going to enjoy undertale. the way it's able to somehow blend mechanics and narrative in a way that's actually pretty cool is amazing, and i'm sure we're going to see a lot of games play with this idea in the future.

I can't enjoy the game because of how JRPG-like it is. I've never enjoyed and never will enjoy JRPGs. I can't do it.

undertale is a visual novel

you could have posted it in the undertale thread in the Subforum games instead of doing this for bait

yeah this sums it up pretty well

BAIT. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH THIS USER IS BAITING. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED MEMES IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT MAKE UP THIS WEBSITE. IF THE WORD 'BAIT' WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE BAIT THEY ARE CASTING OUT AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT. FOR US. BAIT. BAIT.
