also it would take longer than 1000 years because there is no current way to travel the speed of light without dying.

Just because it sounds cooler doesn't make it correct.

Also, there is currently just no way to travel the speed of light, period, dying or not. Theoretically, as long as the acceleration is kept within a reasonable range, we could travel at the speed of light unaffected in a vacuum.

okay so one thing we know for sure about the universe is that it started off with all matter and energy completely evenly distributed. we know that for sure.
so if space was infinite, and matter was finite, we can use that property I used earlier (any finite number divided by infinity = 0) to calculate that the density would have to be 0. That is, density = mass / volume, mass is finite and volume is infinite.
