/title I think It's about time for RTB to just be default, so people won't need to worry about it anymore. Plus, there could be way more that normal RTB, by having the devs update it.

RTB is probably copyrighted or has some restrictive license, unless it falls under the EULA where all mods are property of Badspot.

Ephialtes didn't even originally own RTB. It was a v0002 mod and when support for that died he stole the game lol.

he can copyright his code on the backend - although designed for blockland, the backend server (eg returntoblockland.com and the IRC system) does not fall under the category of a BL mod. We're talking about the RTB support system, i think, not the v0002 mod.

@OP: If badspot really wanted it default, he would have taken it over years ago. But its clear he doesn't really want to focus on developing this game anymore, so this is highly unlikely to happen.

Ephialtes' RTB was only good for the prefs and add-on management.

He tried making it more like steam and that's what turned people off. Shift + Tab was even a default function for blockland. lol

I agree Tony, I enjoyed the IRC feature though.

And I used to buy hosting from RTB before it closed down. It was a solid service, don't get me wrong. Console and chat streaming were great.
But, it's MUCH better to host your own stuff.

it uses up a massive amount of memory it uses, and there's a glitch where if you have too many datablocks when starting a server the game crashes

The irc was way better than having to use steam. I held out on getting steam for a long time after RTB was shut down, but felt so disconnected without a way of chatting with other Blocklanders.

do you mean on? i don't recall a single person that didn't like the update. it was seriously great.
