theres apperently gear progression and stuff in the game

like, theres planets which have specific conditions within their atmosphere which make it so you cant land on it without obtaining the right equipment from mining on other planets.

though if you mine "too" much on one planet, these lil robo starfishs start attacking you

if I wanna suck a planet dry there should be nothing stopping me. forgetin well-established empires...

The only thing thats gay about this game
like if I want to mine your precious stuff its mine you forgets
I found it first

I hope there's a lot of fun stuff to do

if I wanna suck a planet dry there should be nothing stopping me. forgetin well-established empires...

This, I want a game in which I can become a intergalactic materials magnate who owns an empire of various materials harvesting and processing planets. With that, be able to rule the galaxy with force and annihilate all those in my way.

Or y'know, become space ghandi on the next game.

honestly not that excited for this game yet.
They have to show some like real substance before I'm roped in.

The starbound comparisons don't seem so far off otherwise

Not sure but I think you can mod the game so there arent any of those space cops

in the early days of starbound you had to grind for leather to make armorless clothes that let you live on cold planets, now you have to do linear quests to go on planets with harsh environments, this is gonna be minecrafts's starbound

I think their reasoning is so that other people dont go to planets only to see them just be completely ravaged and ruined

which i honestly disagree with, I think it'd be neat to see some planets that are just hollowed out shells floating in space after being chipped away at so much.

mate
but why would you think that
why would they allow you to mod an MMO

Starbound was at least kind of fun before they ditched planetary sandbox survival in favor of extremely boring linear quests.
