i tend to agree with this though

going out of your way to be an starfish about something is a lot more annoying to me than going out of your way to say you like something. obviously both can be annoying, but the people that do the former are actually doing something wrong whereas people that do the latter are only guilty of not knowing that nobody cares at the worst. (if you're going out of the way to say you like something in order to be an starfish then you are an starfish)
