imho it's inhumane but should be a legal option only decided by federal judges for cases like Flash Mob
personally i disagree with allowing somebody to kill if they have a court order.

you have the individual in full control / custody, i don't see a reason to kill them. i saw a documentary a few weeks ago titled something like "last 24 hours in death row" or something. it's really systematic and seems unnecessary

i feel like it should be an option for excessively necessary circumstances but i don't like it

appeals process costs too much so nope. Life in prison is better because if the person is later found to be innocent then he still has his life (unless a prisoner kills em)

I'm against it. Anyone should have the opportunity to be proven innocent while imprisoned. If you're dead and proven innocent later on then that would loving suck

you can't be tried again for the same crime. appeals only try to address complaints about the legal processes during trial

If you're dead and proven innocent later on then that would loving suck

To be fair, no it wouldn't. You'd be dead. Nothing would suck or be pleasant. At least you weren't rotting in a cell unfairly for an extended period of time.

yeah but then you wouldn't get time to be a free man again later

gOTTA LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE MAAAAN

oho i have an idea

lets cryogenically freeze prisoners

I don't have a lot of faith in the judicial system, but the requirements for a death penalty seem to be very strict. I also feel like it's a good negotiation tool.

It depends

The worst people should have it

Aha. Love it when people don't do their research.

The cost of imprisonment would lower significantly if the death penalty was abolished. People on death row are living off of more tax dollars compared to life in prison.

Whether or not it's morally right or wrong, regardless of the crime, I don't give a stuff. Deciding issues like this based on personal moral opinions is stupid. We'd be better off without it.
