A government or institution shouldn't have the right to deprive a human being of life. It's morally incorrect and is a violation of the basic human rights.

say this person killed two dozen people, and stole things that were worth billions, would you still say the same?

the thing is that "human rights" means that it should be given to all humans regardless of what they did

fair enough

Every human has inalienable rights, even the most vile and twisted of humans. Also, an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.

It's not a court's role to sentence a fellow human to eternal damnation. Leave that to god.

You could take this and run with it anywhere you wanted though. Is it morally correct to kidnap a human being and lock them in a cage for 25 years of their life, where they are under the constant threat of physical and loveual assault?

Guess it depends on how you look at it.

Human rights are the opinion of a select group of humans in power.
Not sure what you're trying to prove.
Also there are no correct morals.

Of course it's morally incorrect to do everything that you mentioned above. However, it is equally incorrect to sentence a man to death for said crimes. Two wrongs don't make a right
Also there are no correct morals.
In the eyes of the law there is clearly such thing as moral correctness. Also I may be wrong but i'm pretty sure the statement of there being 'no such thing as correct morals' is completely false in every aspect, and you probably know it but are trying to be edgy.

The point wasn't that "two wrongs make a right" at all. The point was that what is "moral" has no basis in concrete or measurable reality, so it shouldn't reserve a place in the lawmaking process.

The entire concept of human incarceration is to remove members we deem unfit for our society, from society. It has nothing to do with what's moral, it's purely about what benefits the people on the other side of the gate, that's how it's always been. By nature, this concept includes capital punishment.

if you believe in justice

In the eyes of the law there is clearly such thing as moral correctness. Also I may be wrong but i'm pretty sure the statement of there being 'no such thing as correct morals' is completely false in every aspect, and you probably know it but are trying to be edgy.
lol
Law != morals
Try taking a philosophy class sometime to educate yourself on the concept of morals.

So you two say that death penalty should be legal because morality are just a concept?

Have I even mentioned the death penalty?
I'm just saying your reasoning is terrible.

So the point of your post is just to say how my 'two wrongs dont make a right' reasoning is horrible

I'm not sure what you're finding so hard to comprehend about what we're saying. "it's immoral" is just a straight up terrible argument.
