Author Topic: Smart Phones are going extinct soon  (Read 2360 times)

False dichotomy. There are tons of other gasses that can be used to create inert atmospheres. There's not going to be an extinction of smartphones because we're running out of helium.

Smartphones are made from Helium which is getting near depletion. It's common knowledge that helium doesn't have long until depletion.
looks like your head is gonna be depleted soon too then.

I mean seriously

You have zero evidence.

there's more brain cells in pie crust's dog than in lord tony's head

None of which can cool stuff down as much as helium.

Imma adopt another iPhone so i can start breeding them for fat cash

hey guys, look, tony is fear-mongering.

even then, helium is so sparsely used for these products, it's mostly used on equipment that costs millions of dollars to manufacture a single item. Like oil pipelines, oil drills, MRI's, bunch of other stuff I don't feel like listing off.

Liquid Nitrogen.

My source is google.
How hard is it to instead of copying and pasting the article, copy and past the link?

The only link I could find on this subject was here at some site I never heard of.
I haven't bothered to read most of the article, but Helium appears to play a role in the production of smartphones, but I believe there may be alternatives that can be used.
nearly forgot to post the link

ITT: Tony is useless about posting sources again

helium is "running out" apparently

but us humans always find a way to still have our devices so

Hydrogen is also a miracle worker for heat based things.

Smart phones will only be getting better once we ditch some of the older materials use in the product, one example is graphene super capacitors, or a graphene battery that can make most smart phones run without a charge for a month in a half.

Heres a BBC arcticle about how Graphene will improve Smartphones over the years - http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20130306-bend-and-flex-for-mobile-phones

Also why has there been no Smart Flip-phone!?

Its a great idea, it could protect the screen when closed, hell it could have another screen at the bottom.

We are not "running out of helium", it's just that our stockpiles that we made forever ago are starting to run low because we don't need stockpiles anymore.
iirc helium is easily extractable during the Natural Gas extraction process or something.

This just in. Smartphones are made from helium, as in the gas. As opposed to metals, silicates and other materials that are not gasses.

stop getting baited by lord tony not posting evidence

from what i've seen, helium is used in smartphones and there is a helium shortage expected. i dunno if it'll impact phones that much though.
