Author Topic: Would you pay to see this castle made with real legos?  (Read 4721 times)

I'm just curious to know if people would actually pay me to see this get made with REAL legos. I started on this castle around 2010 and have been working on it on and off for a long time.

The Blockland version is great and all but what if I made it out of actual lego bricks?

I have currently no plans to start the real lego version yet. I haven't even finished the blockland version. When the blockland version is finished I'm going to recreate it with real legos. So I'm just curious if people would pay to see this made. If not that's fine too but it will just take significantly longer to make as it would take about 10,000 dollars in over 200,000 bricks.

The only hard part when designing a real lego castle is how to loving disassemble it for travel. With Blockland you don't have this problem so it's going to take a lot of careful planning to figure it out.

way

dark

What about it? Seems fine to me.

Plenty of lego castles I know are black. Some of my best castles are black!

Black Castle Lives Matter.

what about white and asian castles??????

I never had experience in adding hinges or whatever to lego builds. So I have to be incredibly careful in designing how I would be able to take it apart.

I don't think anyone would want to pay. $10,000 is crazy.

Actually I did the math and it would cost more than 10,000 dollars. About 20,000+ dollars considering how I am using big cubes for the fortified walls and cube bricks don't exist in real life so I would need about thousands and thousands of small tiny bricks.

Or, you know

A few hundred of larger cubes put together

eh honestly it probably wouldn't look too great as a set, especially having to pay that much for it
I mean it'd look pretty neat but not $10,000 neat

If you are seriously thinking of doing this, leave out the outer walls. They are made of tons of little bricks and that is probably what is ramping the price up.

How exactly would you get HARVEST on that door?

How exactly would you get HARVEST on that door?

custom sticker i think

it'd have to have just the right lighting to look good in legos, it would have too little contrasting colors to look good irl

That's just ridicilously dark. Like you can hardly even make out the edges.
