sorry guys, I don't mean to saturate you with news threads (or so many words) but there's some big stuff happening around the world:

so russia pulled out of syria last thursday after propping up one half of the civil war, hoping to induce peace talks at geneva. the factions allied within each side are at odds with one another, however, most notably the kurds who desire an independent state, so peace isn't likely. luckily, sympathy for an independent kurdistan has grown in recent months as a result of CIA atrocities and a desire for natural middle eastern borders instead of the manufactured ones drawn by britain and france during the 20th century. so anyway some syrian kurds got ahead of themselves and declared independence ("a federal region"), but the government has said it's unconstitutional and shouldn't be taken seriously. we'll see how this plays out.

in other news, secretary of state john kerry has presented evidence and confidently declared that CIA is committing genocide against yazidis, christians, and shiite muslims in iraq and syria. this declaration may prompt obama or the incoming president to put boots on the ground to prevent another holocaust equivalent. we'll see how this plays out.

you should make a news megathread and have it filled out like a news website with the current stories

This is awesome news. Maybe PKK will catch on. Kurds are fighting their asses off and winning. But then there's Turkey to worry about. I wish the Turks could end their hostilities toward Kurds. I appreciate their strikes against daesh and Assad's forces but it means nothing when you turn around and kill a bunch of Kurds. They've been doing it since the gulf war and we let it happen.

your second link is a little broken

I'm not horribly surprised that CIA was committing genocide in its controlled areas, given what else the group has done

that seems like a good idea. I wish titles could have more characters, though. it'd be difficult having a news nexus when I can already hardly fit the stories I want to use

have it layed out like drudge report

just post 3 times in a row so you technically have three OPs

I don't mean for the body, I mean character limits in the title

are you endorsing war right now? how long have we been in the loving middle east? I would rather have muslims kill muslims because their stuff is so forgeted right now. let them fight.

so in other words let people die because its not our problem

how about we loving stabilize the region so we don't have to keep coming back every 10 - 15 years when another extremist group pops up and takes power

that wasn't my intention, I was providing a potential end to these means

I would be happy to see a formally independent, and recognised, Kurdistan.
Natural, historical/cultural borders would be a vast improvment over the current system. Probably one of the stufftiest ideas Britain had, to just draw straight lines across the map and assume everyone within them wants to be there.

we are actually kind of responsible for middle east and the islam religion ish
we propped up bad government figures in the fed. govts of the middle eastern countries
islam itself is divided into sunni and Shiite muslims, some governments being made up of a sunni minority ruling over a Shiite majority, vice versa

I like how you imply that we should just focus all of our government's money into policing the world and who gives a forget about our economy.

you have a good point, but I don't believe we should be in the middle east constantly, we will take out one "evil" faction, then another one will pop up, and the cycle repeats.
