I'm okay with kids being disciplined, but so long as parents don't take it too loving far. I knew a couple kids who got the absolute stuff beaten out of them if they did minor stuff like lying and all that did was forgeted them up in the head.

actually I agree with lord tony. children need to be disciplined with physical punishment. and I don't mean like slapping or punching but just a firm spankin in the rear end. that's how my parents disciplined me and it's not "traumatizing" it's a good lesson to learn.

they are being told they are "special" "unique"
and they grow up actually believing that stuff, and stop trying to do anything.

i have a friend who lives at home still. hes 32, makes decent money because his daddy got him a job, makes 60k a year.
 he dosnt have bills. no rent, drives his parents car, their insurance, their phone plan. his mommy cosigned him a 2k limit credit card...
and he stepped on a piece of broken glass the other day, was on the ground screaming and crying. called his mom home from work in a panic. called an ambulance.
for a simple tweezers job.
i am still giving him stuff about it, and likely will forever. i hate people like him. but thats what you all will turn into, as your gen was set up for that life far more then mine was.

yea i had a best friend in middle school and he pretty much got abused by his mother. then he started a drug habit in highschool and his mom got cancer and i think even passed away...

we were kids so we didn't tell anyone.

to my last post about the best friend that got his consoles smashed by has father: i think that father got diagnosed with terminal cancer a year ago. (he told me about his dad because we ended up dating after meeting again..). i think he also passed away...
