Petir nods back, and then digs his hand into his pocket and procures the ticket from his pocket, curious to see the arrangement of three letters written on it.
Petir finds that his ticket reads, "Btm."
As everyone files into the room and surrounds the table, the ONM officer stands up straight, overlooking the crowd. "Good morning, everyone," he began, "My name is Alekos Rota, or Major Rota of the Osvon National Military. You may call me Major, or Alek. We are here today for an intelligence briefing -- to inform you of just what exactly you're up against. Novil?"
Novil nodded his head, as the Major took a step back, "I won't sugar coat it, people -- we're outgunned and outnumbered. Kreusche's international contacts have allowed him to acquire hardware much more advanced than the military had before he came to power, stuff that I've never had the pleasure of seeing or hearing about at all. The Major is here to fill us in on these new technologies, what we should look out for in combat, and so on. It is of the utmost importance that you pay attention during this brief, as it may save your life in the long run. Major, you may continue."
Novil stepped back and the Major took his place, he looked down and began to tap buttons on a small tablet that sat in front of him, wired to the projector on the center of the table. The projector lit up, and projected a diagram of a kevlar vest above it. "The ONM now employs a new more developed form of Kevlar. It has been dipped and coated in a non-newtonian fluid, and allows the vest to stop heavier caliber rounds, up to the size of 7.62x51mm, your average sniper rifle round. While it doesn't exactly stop the wearer from being put out of the fight, it certainly saves lives, making it hard to cut down their numbers. However, it should be kept in mind that killing one takes one out of the fight, but wounding one takes three out of the fight. This can be useful in combat situations. Military Police units, or just MPs, all over the island have been issued these vests. If at any time the opportunity presents itself to obtain one, take the opportunity. Next -- " the Major stopped to tap a few more times on the tablet.
An Ocelot projected itself above the table, a small half-spherical object was highlighted on the roof of the vehicle. "That tiny camera there that's been highlighted could mean the end of an assault for us when up against the military. This camera is a more recent installation to military vehicles that assists a system we call Persistent Close Air Support, or PCAS. Without the PCAS, an airstrike could be called in on the opposition and could take up to an hour to carry out. With PCAS support, airstrikes have been known to have been carried out in as little as five minutes. If you find yourself up against a vehicle and you see one of these cameras --" the Major stopped, tapping a few times again on his tablet to bring up a whole array of diagrams of several of the military's vehicles, each with a camera highlighted on it, "You should consider either falling back or destroying the camera or vehicle, first thing."
"That concludes that for now. Are there any questions?" the Major asked.
