Author Topic: is vaping harmful?  (Read 14727 times)

You're more likely to get it through regular cigarettes or microwaved popcorn for petes sake.
And thats if diacetyl is even the root cause.

If it was a significant problem thousands of people would be in hospitals by now because they had Orevelle Redenbachers,

Most e-juice makers have been doing diacetyl-free flavorings now anyway because of this "diacetyl scare".

ur still a loser if u vape!!!!!!!!

years ago some nerds in my classroom were vaping some fruit stuff I havent seen one of them since

those kids that cape with the super thick $300 ones... it can also be used as a carrot because of how gay they are.

According to what I learned Friday I think it is

ohms, voltage, dude rate my cloud, just got a new tank, this rda is sweet, mods, how much nic is in this, juice juice juice juice hey man spot me a 10 for this juice, aw my battery's almost dead

idk what people previously have said but its fairly new and people are still doing research on it.
but any smoke in your lungs is bad but its not as bad as cigarettes.

if you want to vape without reason then wait until youre almost done developing (roughly at 18). if yorue stopping with cigarettes then get a vape now.

where did this idea even start anyways
id rather be around vapers than smokers because vape doesn't make everything you touch stink
this
i hate being around smokers because well.
1. i don't like second hand smoking, but hey, being around smokers, you don't have a god damn choice unless you like giving up oxygen too
2. they smell bad
3. they make you smell bad
4. they have the personality that 'i don't care about my health so i can smoke' but don't realize it's harmful to everyone around them too

so you guys know that air isnt purely oxygen, right?

But in all seriousness, i was thinking of buying a vape pen and then i read the description and cringed hard.  Here is what is says:

what is in e-liquid?
E-liquid is made up of 2 main ingredients aside from any nicotine; Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin. Propylene Glycol is an organic compound commonly used in such products like ice cream and soda. Vegetable Glycerin is a sugar alcohol compound commonly found as a sweetener in liqueurs and cake frosting. While these chemicals are harmless in and of themselves, it is important that you select your e-liquid from companies that you can trust as there is a wide variety of quality control in the vape juice industry which is currently unregulated.

We take quality and safety extremely seriously which is why VaporFi e-liquids are 100% made in the USA in FDA* registered labs using better than food grade ingredients. For more information as to what sets our e-juice apart from the rest of the industry please check out our Why Our E-liquid Rocks page.

* VaporFi products are not approved by the Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") nor does the FDA endorse or deem these products to be safe for use by consumers.

Propylene Glycol is used in air conditioners and water enhancers.  And notice how they put the not approved by the FDA in small print at the bottom of the page.

If you don't smoke anything, don't start.
There is no benefit to nicotine. It's not like caffeine which can at least be a stimulant.
Nicotine is much more addictive and you get nothing from it but a reliance on it.

There's not enough research on vaping yet. It seems cleaner than cigarettes, but that's useless info, as practically everything is cleaner than cigarettes.
I've seen one study (not indepth) that suggest flavours may be carcinogenic.
There will be more studies in the future saying each aspect is dangerous and others saying it is safe.

It's not worth getting started in. It's a waste of your money and a needless risk to your health.

i agree with what youre saying, but vapes dont always have nicotine, you can decide how much from none to like cigar level. you can start if you dont smoke just for a few reasons like stress or w/e

Thats because they are flavored with propylene Glycol.  Or at least the consistency is, and inhaling this is bad for you.

What do you think "Not FDA approved" means?

FDA approved means the FDA has reviewed studies on a drug and determined it to be safe and effective at what it's claiming the drug does.
Since the fluid doesn't claim to provide any medically beneficial purpose, there's nothing for the FDA to review, and thus nothing for them to approve.
"Not FDA approved" is not synonymous with "bad for you"

If you ever drink energy drinks, look at the can, and you'll find a similar notice on them.
Or a lot of other products, really, energy drinks are just the first I thought of

i think it's just cause vapers are seen as pussies lol
like, compared to cigarette/weed smokers
Oh, I guess i didn't realize kids still think smoking is cool

I was talking about the last part, it said deem this product safe and the FDA has not done this yet.
