Christians are aliens. Got it.
there is a theory that says that life originated from a meteor that crashed into earth
so technically they would be, in that case :cookieMonster:

I believe people are afraid of the inevitable eternal darkness they will soon face so they look for god to ease their fear.

Even Stephen Hawkins believes when you die you are dead forever with no afterlife. Your conscious is tied to your brain, only.

What sucks is that us humans are like hundreds of years away from immortality right now so we won't be able to become immortal anytime soon. Sure google is working on it but it won't be anytime soon.

You mean the eternal darkness that is entirely hypothetical?

Interesting how you talk so much about how stupid people are for believing in things that may not be true and here you are treating hypothetical beliefs as fact. Why don't you show me the scientific proof that death is an eternal darkness since you're so inclined to believe it.

Or, would you rather admit that the science VS religion argument is entirely moot?

Doesn't the Christian god send people to be tortured forever for not worshiping him?
And at the same time allows people to be born into families that believe in other religions?

Sounds like a narcissistic tyrant to me.
I never understood this at all. "I'll make people who by default are sinners so I can send them to hell for all eternity!" seems a bit ridiculous.

Unless you want to find out, you can always try it. I don't want to find out anytime soon.

However it makes life a joke.

We only live to reproduce. We evolve by our years and years of reproduction.

We are the sacrifice made for our future generation of children and their children and so on who will evolve enough into the point where they can live forever.

Show me the proof that 'we' do x things to achieve y.

It was later discovered that us humans are literally no different from animals, insects, etc. Yes we are no different from that of an ant. The only difference is that we are smart enough to be socially aware of our surroundings.

The only reason us humans are smarter than the average animal is because we evolved. However just because we evolved that does not guarantee that our conscious is higher than an animal's level of consciousness. It's all the same stuff.

The only way we will survive longer than 100 years is through evolution.

Show me the proof that 'we' do x things to achieve y.

This entire country is built on reproduction after death. It is instinct to survive and reproduce.

We live, we reproduce, we die. Cycle repeats.

Humans understand the concept of mortality and faith. Animals don't, which is why animals are immortal. They don't process their death and remain completely ignorant to it, therefore they 'live' forever in their mind. All that really matters is how you perceive life, not what life really is.

Humans understand the concept of mortality and faith. Animals don't.

Animals don't understand the concept of mortality and faith but there is one thing they know best. To reproduce.

Deep, deep, down they know that they have to survive and reproduce to pass off their genes. You can't argue with this, it's hard coded into all their brains.

You know what's also hard coded into our brains? Marriage, love, having babies.

We know if we don't start having kids at a specific age that will be the end of your family name. Why does someone care that their family name will cease to exist? It's in our instinct to carry on our genes.

Deep, deep, down they know that they have to survive and reproduce to pass off their genes. You can't argue with this, it's hard coded into all their brains.
So I take it you want to be an animal then? You want to live reproduce and die? Or would you rather seek faith and add meaning to your mind?

Marriage

Yeah, no, I agreed with you on the other things, but then you had to post this. People are naturally polyamorous, it was culture and religion that forced monogamous relationships and marriage.

Gives people zero proof that he exists and expects them to trust him or else they get sent to the shame center where they're cooked for eternity

They don't process their death

Most living animals are aware that things can kill them, hence why they go out of their way to avoid dangerous things. Animals are also aware if another member of their species has died, some animals who are even more aware will be emotionally affected if something they recognize as one of their own bit the dust.

In fact I would wager that literally all animals most basic function is self preservation.

Yeah? Then how come I want to kill myself so bad? Checkmate atheists.
