not that i'm a believer but for the sake of argument,

but it also leaves the possibility that God could've made other humans after them
incest isn't necessarily needed in that scenario
I suppose it's possible but then again literally anything is. If that happened at some point then god probably should have mentioned that to the desciples.
"Hey, guys. Uh, just so you know... Adam and eve didn't have to knock up their kids. I made a bunch more humans. Peace out."And even then, if god made a total of
n people, then you have a maximum number of generations before incest becomes mandatory of
n-1 generations
(proof). So if he made 3 extra people for a total of 5, 4 generations in you'd still be seeing incest.
So in order for it to not actually effect the gene pool, he would have had to make a lot of extra people. Which again, would be quite a strange detail to leave out.
