It's back?
It technically never left! But the last topic died and I added new features so yes, it's back!

unfortunately that mode only works if you're still able to play the game normally :c
And that error is quite odd, it's saying it doesn't have access to the file. Did you try running with admin privileges, or what made it work?

I tried running it as admin, all i did was select the file and start it up. It's been corrupted for around 5 years now and i was hoping i'd finally get the key back from it

Well, there are some more advanced techniques that can be used (Which can do a great job narrowing it down) but I don't know how well it would work unless you know some information about your old key.

I only know the first 5 letters and the BLID

I'm so glad that I don't need key recovery because I have memorized the keys to my main and my alt.

I only know the first 5 letters and the BLID
Well that helps a little (Memorizing the BLID gives us the first 5 letters by the way) but I was more meaning the stuff after that. Do you remember anything at all about it? Even how many numbers/letters were there? Were certain characters not in certain spots? (Like for example "Only 3 characters were numbers and there were no Xs, Ys, or Zs" would reduce the number of combinations by 93%) The more specific you can be about it, the better. Do you remember what kind of processor you had, if it was the same or not? If you had any special network-related software back then (Like tunneling/vpn software) or whether or not you were using the internet over Ethernet or wireless would also be helpful information (that can make it a little easier as well because they often muddy up the MAC address with specific bytes).

I'm afraid i don't remember much of it at all, took a look at it and put it in the game. Never looked at it afterwards, emails deleted so I can't go back and look. The computer was older and i believe we got rid of it so I can't check the processer and we used wireless at the time, i have no knowledge about those network software stuff

What about decrpyting for steam keys

What about decrpyting for steam keys
Steam doesn't have keys, period.
