I think it's supposed to be a funny coincidence that may or may not go against the logical outcome, maybe? I usually just think of it as painting flames onto a car, then having said car catch on fire.
I DONT UNDERSTAND IRONY isn't it supposed to be like something doing the opposite of its natural programing?
like a snail moving like sonic? or a lightweight anvil.
There are multiple types of irony.
Verbal irony: Basically, sarcasm.
Situation irony: Something that isn't expected happens.
e.g. When I pushed the lever, a hand came out of the machine and pushed it back.
Dramatic irony: Used in books, tv, etc. When an audience knows something another character does not.
e.g. A killer sneaks up behind another character and they don't realize.
