I get up and everyone's shooting each other, you guys have no chill.

Brazil quietly watches everyone fight and glances over to France, "So uh.. You think you could help me modernize my military?"

i'm leaning towards no
first, i have a very strong feeling and direct evidence that ooc stuff and metagaming had something to do with it
second, japan's flailing of alliances is pretty ridiculous
third, tension isn't very high; granted, i put a low requirement for autocracies, but i'll probably change that now

I'll take it to a thread vote. I'll continue thinking about that, and if the vote is close, I'll use that decision.

Fearing foreign aggression, China strengthens their defenses.

Defense lines are created throughout China and cities are reinforced. Soon enough, trenches, bunkers and other fortifications start showing up along the lines and on the border with Korea, Russia, and India. Artillery guns and machine gun nests are also set up.

In the meantime, the economy sees westernization as some practices are adopted from the foreign powers in China.

I think the reason I'm so split is because of how sudden this is. We went from 0 to World War in about an hour IRL time. In any kind of semi-realistic scenario, this would go to a crCIA and take a while to erupt into war.

there's not really a good reason to go to war in the first place either
