Author Topic: is zootopia good  (Read 7046 times)

I actually just saw the movie today and I'll say from an unbaised standpoint that it was pretty good.
I don't really get how people say that it panders directly to furries, for starters its not like this is the first disney movie to feature animals nor is it the first one to have them in a modern environment. That and it really didn't feel like they were trying to pander to them anyway during the film, somebody's perception on the fandom definitely won't have an effect on what they think of the movie. That said, it was fairly enjoyable. Animation was really vivid and well done, writing was pretty good, some of the jokes were pretty funny too, and the references were cool. Also it was pretty cool how the movie deals with issues like discrimination and such while doing a good job at it. Not that I'm a critic when it comes to films anyway, but the movie is good and far from being bad and sure as hell isn't the worst thing to come out recently.

I want to see this movie badly.

if there are bad things people say about it, in my personal opinion, i loving loved the movie, great animation, good story line and morals, and great actors too, awesome refferenced, hehe

off topic: i found a piece of paper in my brothers desk a few months ago when we were watching the nintendo direct and it was some stuff with zootopia on it
Hes not a furry, are you seriously freaking out at him seeing a new DISNEY MOVIE COMING OUT? No matter what the film would be(Unless Disney Orgy is the film.) he would have probably drawn something.

On the outside, it really is just a generic storyline with childish, overdone jokes most of the time. It's the symbolism and some underlying mature themes expressed that makes it more than just one's average animated movie with talking animals. This applies to almost every disney film.

It's not Pixar tho

The script was phenomenal and what you aim for in a film, almost all details brought up became relevant in advancing plot/character development. However the moral themes of the story were far too obvious. Gazelle was my one big problem with the film, she made it far too silly.

It got good ratings, I should watch it.

It was pretty good don't listen to anyone who says it panders to furries they've spent too much time hating things to watch a movie with talking animals and not see pandering to furries.

It's definitely a good movie, it's just a little dumbed down than what it probably could have been due to it being centered a kids movie.
