I mean, I'm not about to go and defend snowflake genders but, you can't really use severity as a legitimate "is it or isn't it?" argument. For example, theft is still crime, despite murder being a more severe crime.

Now, the real reason for gender neutral restrooms is because countries/states are passing laws to force people to use restrooms based on their genitalia, rather than their identity. The neutral restrooms are pretty much saying "you can't tell people they can't use these ones".
