Author Topic: school district distribute satanic literature to students  (Read 2083 times)

you can see how that may seem barbaric to modern standards, I hope.
Well yeah

tanner-family
I read that as "Tannen family" forget

But yes, I was saying what Legoboss was saying, it's barbaric by today's standards

......it's my family crest
It shows that we took down three tribes

'eeh, sorry to burst your bubble, but having an occupational name means this isn't likely.
Occupational names are common as muck (consider Smith), and they developed numerous times seperately. Having the surname Tanner doesn't mean you're related to all the other Tanners, or that your name goes back as far.

Chances are you have no relation to whatever family did use that coat of arms, if anyone ever did (I'm skeptical of house of names because they make money by selling products with the coat of arms on it, so pretty much every name has one, and they don't have a connection to the College of Arms).

lol

i mean on the one hand this is way too far, even coming from an atheist
but on the other it was really, really stuffty of the school to hand out bibles so in some respect everything balances out

i also find it hilarious that everyone has a knee-jerk reaction to everything satanic
i mean if you really look into the bible, satan didn't really do anything wrong
tl;dr he's never actually, like, murdered or tortured anyone, and in fact he gave knowledge to humanity, and knowledge is almost universally considered good
versus god who committed loving genocide
i mean yeah satan rebelled against god but i would too since god is a judgmental, genocidal, arrogant, and probably deranged starfish
literally the first commandment, god's first priority, is making sure nobody worships any god but him
i bet odin and zeus feel a little left out :(
he also demands that one seventh of the entirety of time be devoted to him

you know honestly just imagine that every semi-major religion historically is true in at least some sense
so thor, odin, zeus, aphrodite, huitzilopochtli, and yahweh are all real and just chillin in heaven
and the other gods are just really loving sick of yahweh's stuff but so many people believe in him that they're kinda powerless to stop his ass

I think they would achieve the same goal if they gave out Greek/Roman literature, or Norse mythology literature, without getting as heated backlash.

But then again that controversy is what they're after. The rage it produces in some Christians reflects how non-christians can feel about the Bible being pushed onto them.

I don't think it being Satanist is too far though.

This is a good thing. Kids should be allowed to decide for themselves

That school district should be illegal

My family is Christian I'm naturally against this
my skateboard has baphomet on it does this freak you out

My mother blames everything bad on the Satan

Oh my sister fought with her bf today it must be Satan's work
I've been having nightmares lately it has to be satan trying to mess with me

My mom calls almost everything new-age religion and tries to keep me away from all that stuff
So idk much about what Satan worshipers do but from what I heard it's pretty bad
this... this sounds like the cliche'd "crazy" christian household

if your mom caught you masturbating would she cut your hand off? would you even consider masturbating or is it one of satans temptations?

Hey hey hey I know it's ignorant and stuff but when you've been around that sort of stuff your whole life it sticks, ya know?
are you like, afraid to think for yourself too? or do you just choose to roll that way?

im genuinely curious cause i've never met a family that actually took it this seriously

Thanks to this thread, I looked up my family crest, it's pretty cool looking but it has too much blue imo

I have nothing against this, it's the same thing as looking at other old religions; in my school career, I've looked at: Islam, Greek, Roman, and Catholic religions, there's nothing wrong with learning new things and such, it might even broaden someone's morals, intellect, and mind.

did we just get a replacement planr?

My family is Christian I'm naturally against this
You should be open to other religions though

When it's Christianity literature no one bats an eye but as soon as it's "athiest" or "satanic" literature everyone goes nuts. It's just double standards of the separation of church and state.

Interestingly enough I was thinking the exact opposite. I remember getting in trouble in 4th grade for talking about God, and I grew up in the south lmao

MCZEALOT WHAT DID YOU DO
