FINALLY a decent horror game that capitalizes on the eerie and disquieting atmosphere of the deep southern bible belt. It's like the perfect horror setting. Dis gun b gud

Outlast 1 really would have benefited from a bit more of a different kind of setting; sure the asylum itself was very moody and unsettling, however this setting is really cool and I can't quite think of a game with such a setting yet (horror-wise)! Very Children-Of-The-Corn-esque.

Reminds me of children of the corn, can't wait for it oh my god.

Honestly I thought the first Outlast was very bad for a horror game. I mean it was pretty and controlled well but it just wasn't scary. Sure you can say "scary" is a subjective thing but there are so many things they messed up on, it's like the game tried to survive on shock factor and jumpscares alone and forgot about everything else. Maybe I'll make a review of it some day.

geez, being set in a more southern area was sort of an unexpected close-to-home hit. looks pretty nice, too. i'd say it's a good, sort of newer idea of a setting, hoping they can do it well

I wouldn't say a farm really a new idea of a setting

eh, i didn't mean new so much as i meant not really used as much lately. this also looks to take place in more of an entire rural county-ish area rather than one farm

Ah, that makes more sense.
