Last time I played it I had all the top-tier gear and sustainable food and water within like an hour of booting up. Then I spent about an hour running along a railway until I realized that there were much better uses of my time that don't involve running across an infinitely boring and empty map waiting to get shot by some douchebag I can't see. forget this game.
Besides the constant 30 minute run from NWAF to p much every area near the coast I think its p fun, especially if you're in a group
And I think losing your gear actually gives you something to do
Well it sucks tough, I lost 2 fully geared AKMS with a stuffton of ammo and very good gear, I even had 3 batteries for forgets sake.

I hope Escape from Tarkov is actually good. DayZ had potential but the whole "muh simulation" hard-on garbage and non-existent development just kinda turned it into a steaming pile of dog barf

general practice is for me and my friends to build a camp on an empty server and fix up some vehicles and just hoard guns then go on a pvp purge of dying, grabbing more stuff from the camp, and going back out and dying again for a few hours untill the loot is gone then we spend a week getting ready again

There also finally added borderless window. but you can only get it when pressing CTRL + ALT + ENTER

Vehicles: Characters can't get out when the vehicle is stuck between obstacles.
Vehicles: Players driving vehicles will have a delayed view of other players driving vehicles.
Vehicles: Global: Input delay while driving with another car in close proximity.
Vehicles: Driver experience tiny rollback when getting close to another vehicle.
Weapons: Global Grenades: Grenades will do their function only if thrown.
Weapons: Flash Grenade: inconsistent blinding effect.
Weapons: Ranged: Reloading and chambering weapons on the ground isn't registered until character takes weapon into hands.
Weapons: Bolt/pump action, internal mag based weapons can shoot two shots without appropriate action taken.
Bolts/arrows are not being rendered inside weapons.
There's a risk that you get a client crash when connecting to servers if the initial installation (as in, literally the first installation you ever do) of DayZ is the current 0.60 Experimental version. Try fixing by updating drivers and Windows, revert to 0.59 on Stable branch, log on to a server, log off/shut down DayZ, upgrade to 0.60 on Experimental branch.

espio barely anyone on the forums plays this stop trying to keep it alive

I wish I could love DayZ but the development is nonexistent. Thank god it was gifted to me so I didn't have to waste my own money on this.

That being said, if you want to play sometime I'd be happy to give it a try with somebody I know instead of hating it alone.
