Author Topic: Would you kill a kid in a videogame?  (Read 6043 times)

Videogames linking to real violence has been debunked.

Chances are if I kill 7 million people in a videogame I won't try to do it in real life.

I wouldn't.

I mean sure, if it was like for example Alma from FEAR, I'd make an exception.

But I tend to link my personality to the characters I play in games and so I really wouldn't even consider it unless I had to.

I can kill kids in real life, therefore, why not in FIFA16?

making people invincible based on arbitrary traits is silly

Is it acceptable to steal the cane from an old man causing him to fall down to the floor? Now he's lying on the floor helpless probably broken his hip.

At least a kid could run away so why do people have this mentality that it's better to kill an old man than a kid?
because you're taking away less potential life

i kill any dog, cat, or bird that roams around los santos, do you think i'd care about killing a kid (in a game)?

because you're taking away less potential life
Don't be so loving stupid.

This is a VIRTUAL kid. It's not even a real kid. Games are SIMULATIONS. The whole point is to allow for things we can't do in real life, otherwise we might as well just play physical games.

If that kid was harassing me or my slave player character, well, I can't say a few drops of red rum won't solve spill.

Not to be edgy, but I would if the story required it

Mindlessly going around killing every NPC gets boring after a while though

i want to kill kids in video games

because you're taking away less potential life

Killing an old man and a young kid is no different.

Just because one has lived longer than the other that doesn't mean one is in more favor for the other.

...would I be a bad person if I said I wanted to kill Shawn from Fallout 4?

i believe backing out on that detail was what made dead island such a failure.,
