Perhaps it could be a good idea to add a board where people advertise their servers?
It could be a good idea to give said board certain rules for advertisements, such as:
- Only one advertisement per member
- No servers that have X, Y, and Z addons/music
- No servers that load X amount of datablocks
- No conspiracy against Badspot

EDIT: Before registering a non-Steam ID here, I mostly was around the Add-Ons and Drama boards. I just noticed that a lot of server discussion that might be counted as advertisement is posted in the General Discussion. I don't know how that would be approached.
