everyone is saying mosquitoes, but any animal that widespread would have a huge effect on the ecosystem
humans are probably the only species whose disappearance would have no negative effect on the world, and in fact have a very positive one

i would choose some species of bacteria or protozoa that's deadly, maybe e.coli or malaria. why get rid of an insect species that spreads a deadly disease when you could get rid of the disease itself?
