Author Topic: Zealot Interviews Furries  (Read 3724 times)

Zealot don't associate yourself with this heritical scum

someone had loaded pixel art of furry research
I liked it

Another good question would be "What does furry mean to you?"
Rather than trying to explain what it is yourself with no experience
Plus not everyone does the same things with it

Projects like these are a great opportunity to learn about a group. So if you have any prejudices or negative feelings against the group, address them with individuals, and then look at their answers with an open mind, and critically brown townyze how you feel

For my Journalism II final I have to interview a unique minority group. Last year I did Flat-Earthers. Now I'm doing furries. If you're a furry, responding would be greatly appreciated.

You're info will be anonymous when used. If you want to, feel free to PM it too.

1. What animal do you associate with and why?
2. When and how did you become/learn you were a furry?
3. Have you ever attended a furry convention? If so: What did you think of it? If not: What do you think of them?
4. Do you think there were any "signs" of being a furry at a young age, such an an obsession with a particular animal or anything like that?

edit: Longer is definitely better. Grammar doesn't matter, as I'll be rewriting it in proper English.

1. Wolf, I tend to identify with the animal that is associated with the term lone wolf. I enjoy being away from others most of the time, doing activities and work by myself for the most efficiency. But even then a wolf can still work in a pack, this leads into me working well with close friends and family.
2. Easy, I showed a large affinity for anthropomorphic animals in my early teens. They were cool and can act like humans, but have other animalistic qualities too like fur (I have a soft spot for fluffy and soft things).
3. I have never been to a con before and I envy others that have. I see it to be like a huge meet and greet but with furries and tons of vendors.
4. I was always around dogs and canines were my favorite animals to begin with. Animals facinated me and I always wondered what it would be like to be one of them as a child. Other animals are cool, they can push all sorts of limits and make us compare our humanity to them. I guess you could say it was the pure curiosity of it all.

a furry is someone that likes or makes anthro art and decided to partake in a community for people that like or create the same

What does furry mean to you?
sin. glorious hours of sin an debauchery. daddy knotmeiser tie me to a bed and keep me whimpering for hours. *whines*

I'm not saying define it
Like,  how do express the interest? You said "partake in a community"
What does community mean? Online chats? Online RPs? Real life meets? Conventions?
How do you partake in them? Talk and hang out? Contribute art? Volunteer at cons/smaller events?

I partly answered what I'm talking about in my answer for number 3 (my answers are on first page) but I may post more after work if I get around to it

Damn Adam. This is a simple survey, not a thesis, lol. While I do like how you like to answer what you believe, I think you're overdoing it.

OP is doing this for a class project. So he likely has to write a paper about it. And he did say
Longer is definitely better.

Okay guys, that's all I need. And thanks a ton! I'm finishing the report now so there's no need for any more interviews.

I was obsessed with neopets as a young kid, does that count? I've always kinda liked anthropomorphic animals.
