Author Topic: are these kicks worth 200 dollars  (Read 11162 times)

Shoes? Hell loving no.
acknowledgement from peers is worth the price, believe me

shoes should just be like pokemon cards so you dont pay too much but theres a chance you can get an ultra rare pair
i'm stealing this idea and starting my own shoe brand.

shoes should just be like pokemon cards so you dont pay too much but theres a chance you can get an ultra rare pair worth the real dollars so you still got your value to style ratio

lol

loving pink again!!!!!!

acknowledgement from peers is worth the price, believe me
"Yay the douchebags and friends of the school finnaly think I'm cool for wasting money on shoes!!! Wow I feel so accomplished!!!"
I'm not saying that people who do wear these are douchebags/friends, I'm just trying to make a point.
I'd rather have money and real friends who care about me and the person that I am rather than fake friends who don't give a single stuff about me other than I have shoes.

you see with my idea instead of "wow he really spent that much money on a pair of shoes" its "oh snap dude hes got the ultra rare j's, i wanna see them! what a lucky guy!"

If you think 200$ jords are bad you should see the people paying 200k for a tiny ass wristwatch

wristwatches can easily be considered an art because of how articulate and precise the watchmaking process can get in such a miniature space. kinda different from rolling a generic hightop that could easily be mistaken for walmart starter shoes in random paint colors

you'll find that the only people who buy these watches are literally the 1%. not broke college kids trying to be urban.

watching a tear-jerking movie - around 10-20 bucks sans refreshments
reading an enthralling book - 5-20 bucks
purchasing a decent video game with good replay value from steam - 10-20 bucks
average price of a week's worth of groceries for 4 people - 100-120 bucks
getting a few kids at school to call your shoes pretty good so you can tell yourself it was a good deal - 200 bucks

People who say "why do you spend so much on something that you are gonna step in mud and water in" have no idea what they are saying. If you go to a school/city developed in the last century, then you can be sure you will be mostly walking on concrete rather than dirt. You are also forgetting that most people who wear Jordans don't only wear Jordans, they usually have a backup pair of shoes that they can beat up and not care about. I feel like most of you are also forgetting the concept of soap + water.

you see with my idea instead of "wow he really spent that much money on a pair of shoes" its "oh snap dude hes got the ultra rare j's, i wanna see them! what a lucky guy!"
With that point then I'm fine with it. Except 99% of the time it's the former even though it really should be the latter.

i dunno where you live, but where i am the people with good taste in fashion are the cool ones and also the majority

"Fashion." "Good taste." "Cool ones."

1) Yes, "fashionable." No it's not, it's literally the middle-school peer pressure with the illusion of being "fashionable."
2) Yes it's costs enough to show that you have no idea how to spend money and you decide to waste it on SHOESYes a wrist-watch that was hand-made from the very beginning, taking months to create and time it perfectly and better yet, the watch is actually WORTH the price. Shoes? Hell loving no.
I don't see the issue with wanting to wear nice things in public. Looking your best is part of living life and making friends. Your're not gonna get a great first impression while you're out trying to meet new people if you're wearing a pair of old white New Balances.

"Fashion." "Good taste." "Cool ones."
You look stupid. Talk normal.

aren't filas any better

a bit ago i could've sworn that you said that nobody cared about you and that you wanted to kill yourself
maybe some cool jawns could've gotten you the attention you got from online folk
actually now that i think about it being bullied and then getting a pair of j's could stop the bullying

you gotta remember that most of us sneakerheads wear the shoes for ourselves, not to impress other people
it is cool though when people compliment you and your shoes

you're in the wrong topic; the nerd megathread is through that door
"Fashion." "Good taste." "Cool ones."
all subjective to my point of view. If you want to say that fashion isn't fashion, go ahead

For sneakerheads its not always about fitting in with the cool kids. A lot of the expensive kicks I rock are more unorthodox, only other sneakerheads will truly appreciate them. Still look fly af tho.
