they're probably doing that one thing where they don't tell somebody that they have a problem because they're afraid they'll offend them and they'll see them on the local news the next day because their parents couldn't hide their 9mm very well
The thing about friends is they don't give a stuff about trivial things, if they do they ain't your friend.

do you happen to be a furry op
or just really like undertale

or maybe they just find it funny that you openly embarrass yourself

I had a pony as my avatar for about a year and my friends didn't think any different of me
because they literally do the same thing what do you expect

2 do the same thing. Everyone else, including people who are neither friends or enemies, don't care at all.

I have more than 2 friends
molten you're doing it again
doing what?

Ive only used 2 profile pictures for the year that I have been on facebook, both are my face

Mine is actually a little over a year old now

this

normies either won't know what undertale/anime/who your waifu/whatever fandom you're part of and if they do they'll think you're some socially inept neckbeard

a rule of thumb is to keep things from the internet out of real life

itt: don't identify with your interests because we don't like it

Having an avatar is nothing like wearing a tshirt. You aren't necessarily trying to pass off that your avatar is you, it's just that your avatar is the only visual representation of "you" when it comes to forum boards and the likes. This is why if I set my avatar to asriel from undertale, I would be associated with asriel and undertale every time I post

Normally this wouldn't be a problem if so many mongoloids didn't get bent out of shape when they see things they don't like.

An excellent explanation.
