Too bad starbound's gameplay is repetitive trash
I mean I guess, but terraria is the same. throwing in some random boss fights doesn't really add much

the "random boss fights" serve a purpose and the game is shaped around them
king slime - Eye of cthulhu (gives a large boost by giving you 30 or more of your evil ore) - eater of worlds/brain or cthulhu (gives you the essentials for you to start working on hellstone, stronger armor and decent weps, drops sell for alot) - skeletron (allows access to the dungeon which is almost essential 3 times in the game) - queen bee (helps mage, summoner, and melee users in the second/possibly first hardest pre hardmode biome) - Wall of flesh (Literal gate to hardmode, drops things that are basically essential for early hardmode) - Mech Bosses (Progression gate to plantera, all 3 drop hallowed bars which was the most powerful thing in 1.1, counter measure to anti-buildup rushers who would go to the jungle immediatly without progression) - Plantera (Grants access to hardmode dungeon, Drops essential items and provides a decent stat-check for people rushing to the dungeon.) - Golem (Drops a pickaxe that could mine literally everything in 1.2, second fastest pick to shroomite digging claws pre 1.3.) - Duke Fishron (Hard Stat Check to anyone expecting to go to the moonlord quick. Drops powerful weapons and was actuly considered the endgame boss in 1.2.4.) - Alien Invasion (Really hard stat check to unprepared people snooping up in the clouds, but drops good stuff vital to helping you defeat the lunar invasion) - Lunatic cultists (Weeds out anyone attempting to rush to moon lord, gives a fair fight and a fair warning to what a few of the enemies are like after you realise what happened.) Lunar invasion (Precursor to moon lord. 4 towers that suit a specialized class are there, REALLY hard counter to people who kill the cultist early.) - Moon Lord (The end game boss. Drops endgame items and gives bragging rights if you manage to kill it on expert. Opened up the possibility of getting the Space Dolphin Machine Gun, a gun that was added before edge of space died but never implemented, and the portal gun. The moon lord is a reference to all of the cthulhu mobs and bosses throughout the game, and also the cthulhu coming out of the ocean picture that was fan made after 1.1.)

If you need more explanation, just ask. If you're looking for things to trash it about, don't bother. I'm only doing this because you dont quite understand and i'm trying to get you to understand starbound is the greater evil. None of them serve a purpose besides to be progression gates and its all through long scripted events.

That was a good book, thanks, Unova

I like Starbound's building system, and that's about it. The missions are only fun the first time, and the main story line has you bumbling around the universe until you find stuff.

buddy you're gonna have to learn how to format your posts. this is hard to look at and most people aren't gonna bother.

i'm trying to get you to understand starbound is the greater evil.
what like, you think telling me that the bosses give you items is gonna convince me to like terraria all of a sudden?

EVERY TIME I'M IN THE STREET I HEAR

what like, you think telling me that the bosses give you items is gonna convince me to like terraria all of a sudden?
Yeah, Unova, that too. You aren't going to convince someone that their preference is wrong. You especially aren't gonna do it by telling them things they probably already know either.

why do people always assume that the size/precision of ancient ruins is some sign of alien intervention? I think it's much more likely that we are underestimating the engineering and manpower of ancient nations. if anything is a sign of alien intervention, it's the Antikythera mechanism. you can get some very precise measurements with hand tools, and it's not out of the question that ancient people could have constructed cranes to lift large blocks of stone.
