well i would say you know what you're getting
but yeah i rarely get soda from a fountain, i stick to lemonade or punch

i left out that different restaurants get different formulas too. mcdonald's coke is meant to better than other place's fountain coke. say that's true of other sodas. who knows what kind of cola im about to get when i get a dr pepper at chilis? is it gonna be real dr pepper? will it be watered down? will it taste different compared to the place across the street? who knows?!

forget outta here. fountain sodas are watered down and use a different formula from the canned/bottled versions so you never loving know what you're getting

they really do work differently, though, since they combine syrup and (carbonated) water on the fly rather than being pre-mixed

^ so they dont go flat. I cant tell u how many times ive gotten sprite from one and it just tasted like bubble water

this actually gives me an idea, next time i'm at a fountain i'm going to try mixing soda water and sprite

Yeah sometimes they run out of the flavored syrup. I'm guessing it's a little more common for stuff like Sprite since you can't tell it's run out by looking at it.
