How to remove permanent marker from lab coat?

So we have two lab coats per person. I use one for my actual work and the second one for not-so-serious work.

During the not-so-serious work, we fool around most of the time. Yesterday, we started drawing roosters and political symbols on eachother's coats and the like. Today, while packing my stuff for tomorrow (today is a holiday due to the revolution of 1810), I noticed that the roosters and etc were drawn on my work coat. I know alcohol gets rid of permanent marker but I can't get it off and it just makes a dark stain on the white coat.

I heard rubbing alcohol can do the trick but idk oh you already tried that.

You could try soaking the marker part with rubbing alcohol for a bit then scrubbing / wringing it out over and over until it's out

I'm leaving the bleach as last-resort because it damages the fabric and can leave a beautiful white stain on my current clothes if a single drop splashes.

well alchohol is what turns reg ink into a whiteboard marker. (allowing it to come right off)
try dabbing rubbing alcohol on it lol
