Author Topic: XR just had the most wild night... [possibly heading to downtown STL next]  (Read 2306 times)

Yeah tonight basically involved a girl in my car, stalking a pack of guys around the county, my police car, and multiple car chases.

Backstory: So earlier this afternoon, I was on lunch break at Walgreens and drove my newly bought police car over to Hardee's (where I also work) to show it off and buy food. My best friend shall we say, this one girl who works there, kept trying to find time in my 30 minute break to go look at my car but kept getting interrupted by the drive thru and people wanting food. I asked her what time she was off and we discovered we were both off at our separate jobs at 10:00PM, so I said I could swing by and show it to her then. After little discussion, we also settled that I would drive her home in it.

Let's just say I didn't get home until 1:00AM because of what follows...

At 10:15, I had Walgreens all closed up for the night and drove my illegal unregistered police car across the street to Hardee's and parked by the door. After a few minutes, I saw her come out of the restroom after changing and she got in my car. I showed her all the cool features much to her awe...and of course we got down to some...talking. An hour later, we were still there...talking. We noticed some movement inside the building and realized that there were people inside and that we knew them. One was an ex-co-worker and the other two were his butt buddies. We didn't think much of it and kept...talking. Around 11:15, I looked up and saw that nosy 18 year old ex-co-worker looking out the window at us, and dare I say I think we looked kind of suspicious hanging together in a dark car in the parking lot. He opened the front door of the restaurant and we freaked. I threw the car in reverse and we peeled out of the parking lot and took off down the dark road. That co-worker just stared after us and disappeared into the building.

The girl and I were laughing like crazy after that. I asked if she needed to be home at any certain time and she didn't, so why end the adventure? Before departing the area, we noted the cars parked at Hardee's: a red Chevy Cruze (driven by the manager everyone hates who has some sort of affair with that ex-co-worker) and a light green Ford Ranger (driven by the posse of guys including the ex-co-worker). We drove for about 5 miles and stopped in a Walmart parking lot so I could send a text to my mom that I was "Gonna be a little late getting home". Annnnnd we sat there for around a half hour....talking. After a while, I looked up and saw a light green Ford Ranger pulling into the lot. I was like, "No....they did not....oh no...." My police car does not exactly blend in with traffic, so of course, they noticed us. I raked the shifter into drive and charged out of the lot. The Ranger did a 180 and came after us. We took off down the highway and the Ranger turned around and drove back into Walmart, but we kept going.

Absolutely pissed and thinking we were being stalked, the two of us decided to return to the scene and see if we could remain undetected. After getting a close call with a county sheriff and praying he wouldn't see that I had no plates, we got turned around and got back to walmart. We lurked the back of the parking lot with the headlights off and saw the Ranger parked on the same side of the lot where we were initially spotted. I backed my car into a space in a corner of the lot and we sat there watching the truck, but nobody appeared to be in it. After a brief argument at what was a good idea, she jumped out of the car and I followed. We both went into the store and walked the entire perimeter looking for the posse of 3 guys. After a few funny incidents splitting us up (like freaking out over a woman on a driving floor sweeper), we saw the guys near the front waiting in a long line to check out. They were between us and the door closest to my car though, so we slalomed through the clothes racks keeping an eye on them, getting extremely close to being spotted. We took the long way around the store to end up near the door with my car and hid behind a rack of bananas. We saw that they'd reached the cash register and were checking out, so I pulled her by the arm and we trotted out the door, sheepishly greeting the Walmart employee at the door and then sprinting through the parking lot to my car.

We jumped in the car and waited. About 2 minutes later, the posse came out followed by the same Walmart employee that we passed. They talked in the middle of the parking lot for whatever reason, pointing in random directions, and then one of the members of the posse broke off and went to the truck. He drove around to the group and the rest of the members jumped in while the Walmart employee went back in the building. I started my engine and creeped along the far side of the parking lot keeping pace with their truck. However, I noticed that they had stopped extra long at a stop sign, and instead of going out to the highway, they turned in the direction of my car. I hunkered my car backwards behind a bush, but we'd been seen. I waited for them to come around the bush, shifted into drive, switched my lights on, and dashed out onto the road in a show of glory.

The truck swung around the end of the parking lot and ran through two stop signs to keep up with us (I was driving at least halfway safely) and we took off down the highway to the north. This time, they chased us. After a brief showcase of dumb kids doing weird things, they started coming up on me in the other lane, obviously trying to pace me by my window. I slammed on the brakes and they went hurtling past not expected it and I crossed over to chase them instead. They went off the highway into a Schnuck's parking lot and we chased them while swerving between cart corrals. The girl with me saw they were using a flashlight and a motorcycle helmet hanging out the window shining the light at us, so I unveiled my spotlight and shined it directly in their faces while they turned around to get behind us. She was like, "Get outta this parking lot as quick as you can!" Screaming tires, I made a j-turn around a cart corral and went back on the highway, with a huge gap between me and the truck, but being as law abiding as possible, they quickly caught up. They tried pacing us again but I kept adding more gas until I noticed a stoplight almost ready to turn red. As they decelerated for the light, I ripped over across two lanes and swung through an intersection into a winding dark road. They never followed.

At this point, my phone started going crazy as my parents started frantically calling me wondering where I was. Time was about 12:30AM so I told her I should probably take her home. I made a u-turn in an abandoned stone quarry and she directed me to her house. I dropped her off and diffused my parents over the phone and went home, not getting here until 1:00AM.

Holy stuff that sounds nuts, glad you got home safely

Get your car registered dude cmon

It's gonna happen....soon. Hopefully tomorrow morning or more likely on Friday.

that's loving amazing.

also, "talking"? lmao storms ain't the only thing my brother's been chasing💦👅💦💦👅

That was an awestruck cat & mouse story. :0

So the issue I have now is what details I should include when people ask for stories of what happened because this will inevitably spread around work like wildfire with the motormouth nosy ex-co-worker and the manager that he likely already told about the events of the night.
