Author Topic: Is UNO pronounced YOO-NO or OO-NO  (Read 18120 times)

Spanish has only one way of pronouncing vowels. Its loving oo-noh. u is always pronounced oo and o is always pronounced oh. Any other way is wrong.

I'm making it a rule now in the Tabletop simulator Uno games I play with my friends that every time someone pronounces it "yoo-no" they draw 10 cards.

it's uno, not u.no

Oono what the forget

If the marketing guys were pronouncing it "You-Know", then clearly that's the way it's said. I think they know more than you do, you know?

wtf why would I say oo know

I say you-no

wtf why would I say oo know
Because the Americans can't get over the fact they didn't write the language.

I say you-no

wtf why would I say oo know
because uno is the spanish word for 1, and in spanish it's pronouned oo-no. it makes sense because you have to call out uno when you have one card, thats the whole forgetin point. you-no isn't a word, forget outta here

basically this.

If you say "you-no" than you're wrong and should feel wrong and also should go in a hole and die take a nap.
