Author Topic: cincinnati zoo kills gorilla because a kid fell in the enclosure  (Read 15538 times)

News storys are saying the gorilla was slamming the kid against a rock for a full ten minutes and molesting him.
Why the forget are they trying to justify the shooting with these bullcrap lies like these.
Wow, it's almost like you don't have the slightest clue what the forget you are talking about.

The gorilla was, indeed, protecting the child from the panicking onlookers he perceived as a threat. Too bad that for an animal that size, the protective measures could easily be the death of a small toddler.

Edit: Also, they didn't use tranquilizers because it would have 'pissed the gorilla off', they simply didn't have any fast-acting tranquilizers. If they did, those things act loving quick and the thing would have been woozy within seconds.

I wonder if the parents will sue, if they do I'm going to be pissed off af
also do they plan on making it harder to get into the enclosures?

I can't believe they shot another innocent black guy because they thought it was threatening a white person.

BLACK LIVES MATTER!

i don't give a single stuff about an animal. but that kids family should be charged with something.
though what will likely happen is nothing. or even the family suing the zoo for it even being possible to fall in. since it was the zoos responsibility, even if guests are handicapped.

Can they sue with a giant wall and numerous warnings?

lol

i think you missed his point stupid. he's agreeing with you

The mother was careless and the zookeepers were lackadaisical in their management.

How the hell is a male gorilla supposed to know the best way to transport the child around the enclosure without harm?  It's trying to protect the child to the best of its ability according to its instincts.  It is evident when it handles the child when standing still.  You can't blame the child for being curious nor the gorilla for being unsure how to handle the situation (especially when you have a crowd of people screaming like a bunch of idiots.)

The claims that he was molesting and slamming the child are terrible observations by people who do not understand socialites in the animal kingdom.

No one is in the right here.  Killing the endangered gorilla is both lazy and wasteful and the situation could be handled completely differently had they dispersed the crowd and were bothered enough to have stocked fast-acting tranquilizers beforehand as a preventative measure.

there are obviously more humans then there are gorillas

so when you think about it logically the gorilla's life was probably more valuable than the child's life
