Need Help with Addons. Again.

when I download it I receive it as a .zip file
macs normally download it as a .zip file, and when attempted to be opened it unzips it
are you receiving it as a .zip, or are you opening it and then wondering where it went?

When I download an add-on, it comes as a folder. When I was little and first got into modding, I received a folder(still on a mac) and it would still work.

It's not the fact that a certain add-on isn't working, the fact is is that none are working. I've tried at least 20, from Slayer to Blockland Glass.

whats weird is that default addons dont seem to be working, assuming you enabled stuff like Brick_V15 (baseplate cubes) or such.

im really not sure what to suggest. you should probably post pictures since the console isn't showing us much about your situation, other than that even default addons aren't working.

I do have Brick_v15 enabled, and I guess I can take some pics of the files inside of the Blockland folder. I had this issue a while back when I first got this Mac where Blockland wouldn't load. So, I had to delete the app inside of the core files (steamapps/common/Blockland, etc) and replace it with a demo version on the website. Is there a correlation?

the folders shouldn't need to be zipped, but it is a bit worrying that they aren't coming zipped
are your screenshots going to the correct place?  it could be the mac issue where it's looking at the root directory instead of blockland's directory

I had an issue back where I got a new computer(This mac)where Blockland wouldn't load off of Steam, so I looked at the Steam forums, and what I ended up having to do is going to Steam/steamapps/common/Blockland and deleting the app there, and re-downloading the demo version of it, and replacing it with the deleted Blockland.

Here are some screenshots of the inside of my Blockland folder, compressed and regular addons, inside of an addon, and how it comes downloaded.

so they are coming zipped. assuming you put the addon in addons folder without nesting it under another subfolder or .zip before starting blockland, there isn't any clear indication why your addons aren't showing up...

Maybe the mac automatically unzips it when you download? Try if you can disable that.

that shouldn't cause issues though?
blockland should still see and execute the addons, unless if somehow the unzipping process is completely breaking the data that was inside of it, and then we should see blockland complaining about it in the console when it sees it

I just drag it out of my downloads onto my desktop and put it into my addons folder.

client, maybe, if you never joined other servers and got other people's build/full trust, but server is definitely not normal if you've started up your own server before, singleplayer or multiplayer.

noedit: is your blockland folder read-only? though that's not likely to be an issue if you can put addons inside the add-ons folder fine....
