I just don't get it, like I do know it's an alternative for a gay man, but why? It doesn't offend me and it just makes the person look stupid since they come up with dumb reasons why I am. "'Your steam name is Luigi? friend.' 'LOL STUPID friend KID GET REKT'" and another example from an experience I posted on Unturned discussion.

the same reason that things like "starfish," "handicapped," "bitch," etc. are all insults. they might have had a deeper meaning at some point, but mostly now they're just words people use for their aggressive connotations rather than their actual definition
