well they can stay outside

I've had ducks once. I started with three ducks, two female and a male. A month later, I had 20 ducks and my voicemail full with neighbors asking me to go pick up my ducks from their houses.

Gave them all away. This was like 8 years ago.

God I miss Bob, our bante rooster. That motherforgeter had spunk. He would take on the buff chad roosters and beat them loving stuffless. He was an alpha bante, loving badass. Until he would up dead one day, battle scars a many. Could have been coyotes or the chad roosters ganged up on him. I gave him a proper burial. He didn't take stuff from no one ;-;
the only bantam rooster i've got / kept for a long time is a mentally deficient silkie that's neck goes exorcist if he gets too stressed
he can barely mount any of his hens either

on the other hand we've got a gold sebright called "bitch" that would murder our bigger chickens if she wasn't in a separate pen

From afar. From up close, they were filthy and smelled like stuff even though we bathed them daily and kept their pond clean.

I personally want quail

my grandma has a bunch of chickens and ducks, and they all constantly smell horrible

and the roosters will chase you and scratch you the moment you approach a hen, unless you're my grandma.

do not get a chicken. i've gotten sliced up many times from the razor sharp claws. you might think they're timid, but most arent

I've eaten both chicken and duck before
