Asking for someone

yes the keys will electrocute anyone that tries to play without learning first

um, isn't it a given that it's "no"...?
although you may need to go to music school if you want to do certain professional playing in some places

No but you will suck

YouTube tutorials were enough for me to learn a few songs.

no

i had to fight to NOT play the piano when i was a little kid. my mom was dogmatic in her attempts to force me to learn (she is a musician).

also both poll options are on extreme ends of the spectrum here and neither are realistic

Not at all. As someone who began playing music on guitar, learning piano was extremely secondary, and only built up some knowledge on playing keyboard in this past few months, mostly on my own merit.

Any instrument can be learned without assistance, but it's highly recommended (despite the cost) to get a professional or even just a good friend to tutor you; video/written guides can't fix your hand shapes or give you structured programs designed specifically for you, especially if you're struggling.

uh hell no lol

you can learn on your own if you want, i can do simple stuff like the tetris A theme if i find the right keys

Classical training helps significantly with technique and structuring your practice, but it's totally possible to learn to play piano well by yourself. It just takes a load of time and dedication.

i've heard people say that if you start learning it too late, you'll never be as good as someone who started at a younger age

no
I took a semester in HS on it and I hated practicing so much that I gave up on it. I liked being able to play the songs, but getting there was just not worth it. Too much effort for too little payoff.
