Author Topic: Millions of people are falling for this crying cow story.  (Read 1904 times)

That's because vegetarians and vegans need to scrape the barrel for evidence that justifies not eating meat.

well i have pretty unpopular views on animal rights (i think its highly immoral to eat any sort of meat except in rare circumstances) but i'm gonna rant here anyway

and the forums seem to erupt whenever i talk about it. but stuff like this pisses me off. even if its real, i always think "what about the animals that didnt get a sad video? do they deserve to live?"

stuff like the petitions against the dog meat festival in china too. pigs are more intelligent than dogs--but nobody is petitioning to shut down oktoberfest over sausage.

i'm not sure if its general forum hostility or just taboo's extreme hatred for animals, but pretty much any time i mentioned (even innocuously) that i'm a vegan there will be 1-5 posts below it making handicapped arguments i've heard a hundred times before. one dude pm'd me pictures of dead slaughterhouse pigs after i said something about my veganism.

(edit: to clarify, that was on reddit, not blf. i probably would've posted about it if it was)
Really good post Zealot. I don't think being a vegan is morally superior in any way, but it is your right to choose and  I can respect that.

You do raise a good point about animals being abused. There is massive legitimate animal abuse in the world, especially in Aaia. In Korea for example, dogs are tortured and shoved in unlivable disease-infested cages for their entire lives based on the false superstition that animals that suffer have better-tasting meat. (I'd provide a link to this kind of BS but its so extremely graphic i'd get banned for it, PM me tho if you wanna see). This kind of crap happens all over cause the sad reality is we as human beings are fundamentally sinful and messed up.

This article disagrees!
Well if you want to be black and white about everything too, humans aren't biologically meat-eaters; we're herbivores. Sure, you can say we're omnivores because we eat cooked meat (and sometimes raw in the case of seafood) but on a structural level humans are herbivores and possess all the right organs to digest vegetation

Veganism: "I'm better than you because I don't eat a thing"
Look, I am really getting sick and tired of these whinny ass vegans who sit around and say their life is all butterflies and cake because they are vegan.  Another thing that pisses me off
is how they look at people who eat meat, as serial loving killers, WTF.  For years people have been slaughtering animals.  In the loving bible, it even mentions how you should eat meat.  I am using the bible as a historical reference, not a religious, Lord Tony.

They also really need to forget off about that whole bullstuff about their food being the super food of the world.  I am going to straight up say this: Vegan food tastes like bland stuff.
Whoever thought of brown rice bread is a loving moron.

Finally, vegan food is hell expensive.  My family went vegan for a month and ended up spending $500 more on food then normal.

hey y'all, that's called a stereotypical vegan, just like stereotypical feminists

"Won't someone think of the cows feelings!"

Wtf do you think "vegan food" is? Vegan means you don't eat animal products. Substituting brown rice for wheat has nothing to do with veganism because wheat isn't an animal product.

Spending $500 more on food, unless you have a gigantic family, is your own fault. Probably from buying bullstuff like brown rice bread, when regular plain bread is already vegan
vegan food is pretty nasty, if you eat nothing but salad and plain foods all day its not good at all.  We had this fake ass meat once that tasted like dried up beans.  Also, that stuff vegans call bacon tastes like burn bread.  Also, the $500 was over the course of a month not a day.

well if 't be true thee wanteth to beest black and white about ev'rything too, humans aren't biologically meat-eat'rs; we're h'rbiv'res. sure, thee can sayeth we're omniv'res because we consume did cook meat (and oft raw in the case of seafood) but on a structural leveleth humans art h'rbiv'res and possesseth all the right 'rgans to digest vegetation

If us humans were completely devoid of technology like cavemen I'd agree with you.

Us humans don't even have the appropriate physiological make up to kill creatures. Our teeth and fingernails aren't sharp enough.

The only reason us humans are so evolved and why we are on the top of the food chain is because we developed and now we use tools.

Us humans do not follow basic biology and nature anymore and that's why we are the loving kings of the planet and we can do what we want.

If a cow was tired of being treated the way it is by us humans then maybe it should evolve to protect itself.

Just like how a cactus evolved to grow spikes to ward off predators.

If a cow was tired of being treated the way it is by us humans then maybe it should evolve to protect itself.
What would it evolve to have

i dont think you understand how evolution works

What would it evolve to have

Years of evolution made the cow dependent on humans for survival. A cow cannot survive in the wild for long.

The cow is already screwed. It will take a few million years for it to evolve to be able to survive in the wild now.
