Author Topic: My favorite cat companion has gone missing for 8 days  (Read 4889 times)

do what I did and chase your forgetin cat down until it gets tired and then man handle that thing and realize you're now a mile away from home and walk back with it

why the forget did you guys not have a collar with emergency info on your pet.
What makes it more questioning is why we only have it for dogs.
And why the dogs don't even have them on anymore

Where she runs off to would be impossible for me to get through

Dude even inside cats should still have a collar
none of my cats have collars and they go out and about all the time

not to mention collars are actually pretty dangerous, cats have clipped them on branches/fences/etc. and hung themselves before ;~;

just get the chip, it's some electronic stuff that has all your cats info on it so if some animal related agency finds your cat they check for it and find out who it belongs to and whatnot

they say not to chase dogs/cats who get out but i can run faster than pretty much any of my animals and i usually end up tackling them assassins creed style when my dogs get out. also my cats are really fat and dont run very fast

right but if your dog doesn't run into an animal related agency, but instead runs into a regular person who is concerned about the dog, then that chip would be of no use.

unless that person calls the animal cops or some stuff

the type of pet you have does not disprove my point
no it doesn't at all I was just pointing out how odd it was you brought up lil doggos in a cat convo

get that bitch out of here, this is a place for pusillanimous individual.

But I don't control what cats have in the house so...
lol like that is an excuse
do you like your cats
if so get them collars

or a chip. there is the issue with cats (and even dogs) getting collars caught on things. but there are also issues with chips, particularly the fact that most people aren't going to want to go all the way to a vet and pay to have it scanned just to figure out who owns the animal they picked up

No, she can't be, I think I saw here yesterday. Also there's been bait we've been putting outside of the trap.
I think i saw my cat that's been missing for 6 days, better not go see if it's her.

the forget?

the forget?
Just coming out the door will scare her.

Also I feel like I am becoming more stupid the more she's gone.

I still don't understand why everyone is saying you need a collar on your cats

Dang, hope you find her.

For future reference, you should have your cat microchipped. If someone happens to find a microchipped cat, they can bring it to their local vet and they have a special device that scans the cat for a microchip. It displays the owner's name, phone number, and address if provided.

one time both of my cats - Panther and Princess, went missing. Panther came back after 2 weeks with a few scratches, scars, and missing tufts of fur, ate at our house, stayed for a week, and then left again. He repeated this for a few months until he stopped coming back. Princess came back after a few months, pregnant. We kept her around, and she gave birth to some healthy kittens. Then we kept one kitten and gave princess and the rest of the kittens away. I don't know why my mom chose to give princess away, but oh well.

Then that kitten grew up to be a piece of stuff, so we gave it to my cousin in Jersey. After a few weeks of living with him, the cat ran away and never came back.

If your cat ever comes back, make sure to hold on to it tight. And like everyone else said, microchips and neutering definitely helps.
