Author Topic: what do you guys use to treat acne?  (Read 1177 times)

I used this when I used to get acne. Just put a dot on it and it'll be gone the next day & if it's not just put it on again till it is.

I haven't had acne in years now.

I go to a dermatologist and they give me this prescription stuff.  works really well.

i use to carry around those little alcohol pads for makeup removal.
i would randomly wipe over my face like 3-4 times during the day. prevented most of it.

Washing your face twice a day, and regularly washing your hair are the best preventative measures.

For when they pop up though, most anti-acne face washes should work if you start to apply it regularly.
But I also swear by witch-hazel. You can get it in a liquid form which you dab on with cotton pads, or you can get witch-sticks, which are like little lipstick tubes you open and rub over the affected area.

That's all I can recommend really. Wash your face every day with soap/cleansing pads/anti-acne scrubs, particularly if you get sweaty. And wash your hair regularly enough so that it doesn't go greasy (if this means a wash every day, consider using a conditioner too, to prevent your hair going dry and damaged from too much shampoo).
And beyond that, bear with it as you grow up. Acne does get much more managable as you get older.

Tooth Paste after a hot shower worked for me

BE WARNED - It burns like hell but it got the job done for me.

Just stop being 16.

Doctors hate him!
Its as simple as 1 2 3!

to prevent it i would recommend that you don't eat greasy stuff fast food, run/lift/etc at least twice a week, don't touch your face often, learn to manage stress better(stress can be just as bad for you physically(including skin) as it is mentally), and obviously clean your face every now and then but tbh twice a day seems excessive to me

i've got a small zit right above my upper lip rn and it hurts like hell. anti-acne stuff never seems to help me in either preventing or aiding in the removal of zits, it just dries my face's skin which is a drag

#1 sleep
sleep well
sleep early
your body rejuvenates during sleep and produces less oil that clogs your skin holes

i just cut off my head, so i can regrow it the next morning

I don't get acne because I'm not a scrub.

I used to have really really bad acne, i had to use makeup to cover it. Then I used proactive and its all gone.

it's always at max peak because i'm always stressed about something. i work all the damn time, so i exercise regularly. when i use acne medication, it goes down a little, but i think that's some sort of placebo because it's relaxing (and not stressing) to know that this medication will help my acne.
