How is that comparable

At least these people are sitting in chairs lol
How is a bunch of Democrats not getting their way and whining about it the same as protesting segregation
when have you ever made a valid point in any thread regarding politics lmao

most likely is just a publicity stunt, but at the very least it might actually result in something being done. no doubt any politician that can will jump in on this to make themselves look better lol

I mean, I support the message, just not how their going about it. If they really want gun control they should stage an actual protest before the White House. Get citizens involved. Get them to write to their Republican senators. Wave some signs. This is just as effective as those hicks who took over an Oregon Wildlife Refuge a few months back.

the way thy're going about this doesnt sit well with me

That joke isn't gonna stand the test of time.

i really can't stand these kinds of jokes

i guess i feel about the same way about this as i feel about the senate judiciary committee right now

i get it but i think there's a line where weaponizing inaction becomes a bit excessive. i don't think a sit-in is even going to accomplish much considering how close we are to election

The correct response would be "These men who protect us are not ordinary citizens. They've trained with the Military and Secret Service to learn how to appropriately handle violent situations and resolve them in the best way possible. You're average guy who walks into a gun show and walks out with a rifle and no permit doesn't have those years of training."

he's not wrong. people shouldn't have to carry a gun, unfortunately we live in a world where sometimes other people have malintent and law enforcement can't always be close enough to help. everyone deserves protection, and if people want to take their safety into their own hands, they should ideally be able to do so with appropriate training and screening
