Not really surprising Scotland wants to leave the UK. They've been wanting to for a while and this is a good opportunity to do so.
They only want to leave and join the EU (which was already made clear in the Scottish referendum that it would not be a guarantee).
As usual Scotland/Wales just want to leech off of another nation.

Britain's been "investing" for decades and we still don't get much in return. I'd say that's a bad "investment".
Are you for real? Britain was a bomb hole after WWII, I'd say something went very very right.

  • WWII ended in 1945.
  • Britain joined the EU in 1973.
  • That's 26 year period.

Germany was just as bad, if not, worse than Britain after WWII.

Britain had repaired its self by 1973. So I struggle to see how Europe helped us in the recovery process?

This would have been a better argument for germany/Berlin where the US and British government and military had to loving help them repair and not starve to death

My cousin lives in the UK and will probably have difficulty visiting her family in Portugal.

Oh noes

It's not too hard to understand. If poor countries become rich and rich countries trade with them, the two economies will expand. We can't know how much the UK benefited from paying dues only because they did pay dues.

That being said, it is the choice of the people what their country does. If the people do not want to invest in other countries, they shouldn't have to. Power to you, Britons.

i blame the soviet union

Except I have 4000 loving euros of them and everything is literally going in red.

Well, stocks were at an all time high.  You'd have to be pretty insane to be buying right now.

Also since opening today the FTSE 100 has already recovered over half of what it lost.
