Author Topic: Window 10 is almost a year old.  (Read 5304 times)

Its been almost a year since the release of Windows 10 (July 29, 2015) and I keep hearing people talk bad about it. Is there something going on behind the scenes? I understand that people update and can sometimes mess up the computer but that is the nature of technology.

NOTE: I know there have been other "Windows 10" topics but they are past old and I aint no grave digger.

afaik its riddled with ads. i dont use it and i dont want to use it

where the forget did you get this from
how did this rumour even happen what the forget

it's a mix between telemetry and people being forced to upgrade against their will, I'm not sure how telemetry works

also iirc people were also pissed that it pulls files from other computers (and yours) to help update other computers, you can turn that off though

If they mean the "Suggested App to Download" that appears on the start, you can turn that stuff off

Like really, this topic was focused mainly on people like this

Who are afraid of using Windows 10 for non-existent problems

It's ok, but the forced updates piss me off. It's better then Windows 8 that's for sure.

Everything is better than windows 8. That OS was awful.

I have no problems with it at all

I don't even remember getting that when I first upgraded lol
I pretty much deleted every icon on the start menu and replaced it with my own programs and it's good

I refuse to update from windows 7

i run 7 and i like the layout of it, and i don't really want to upgrade because of all the horror stories i've heard about beloved games suddenly not working
imo there's nothing wrong with 7 and if it ain't broke, don't fix it
