As long as you keep the dream alive that shooting isn't a major set back, its stopping and having a pitty party instead of pushing forward that will cause the set back.

i've seen several of my friends go: "lol they deserved it" or "gays are stupid"

moreover, have you checked twitter? yeah, people are trying to dismiss it as not a hate crime, politicians are using it as a reason why guns should be legal, and why gays need to go away(s)

That was my personal experience, I tried to avoid the soap box circle when pulse happened cause it made me sick hearing people use it for political gain.
